This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information when you use our mobile game "Harvestia's Heralds" (the "Game") on iOS and Android devices. By downloading, installing, or using the Game, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Game.
We are committed to being transparent about data practices and providing you with meaningful choices about how your information is used.
---
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in three categories: information the Game collects directly, information collected automatically by third-party SDKs integrated into the Game, and information we do not collect.
2.1 Information the Game Collects
When you play Harvestia's Heralds, the Game collects and processes the following information:
- Player ID: A unique identifier generated by Unity Authentication when you first launch the Game. This is an anonymous identifier and is not linked to your real name or personal accounts unless you choose to sign in with a platform account.
- Platform Sign-In Data: If you choose to sign in via Apple Game Center (iOS) or Google Play Games (Android), we receive a platform-specific identifier to link your account. We do not receive your Apple ID, Google account email, or password.
- Username: If you choose to participate in leaderboards, you may create a display name. This name is visible to other players on the leaderboard.
- Game Save Data: Your game progress, including scores, in-game currency (feathers) balance, unlocked skins, unlocked shield upgrades, game settings, and other gameplay data. This data is saved to Unity Cloud Save so you can restore your progress if you change devices or reinstall the Game.
- Leaderboard Scores: Your high scores and associated display name, submitted to Unity Leaderboards.
- Purchase Records: A record of which in-app purchases you have made (such as which cosmetic skins, currency packs, or other items you have purchased). We store the fact that a purchase was made and what category of item was purchased. We do not collect, process, or store your payment card information, billing address, or other financial details.
- Session and Authentication Data: Session tokens and authentication credentials necessary to maintain your game session and verify your identity across play sessions.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically by the Unity Ads SDK
The Game uses Unity Ads SDK (version 4.16.4) to serve advertisements. The Unity Ads SDK automatically collects certain information from your device. This collection is governed by Unity's privacy policies (linked in Section 6 below). The information collected by the Unity Ads SDK includes:
Device Identifiers:
- Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS, collected only with your consent through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework
- Identifier for Vendors (IDFV) on iOS
- Google Advertising ID (GAID) on Android
- Android ID on Android
Device Information:
- Device manufacturer and model
- Operating system and version
- CPU and GPU specifications
- Amount of RAM
- Screen resolution
- Sensor availability flags
Network Information:
- IP address, which may be used to determine your approximate geographic location (country or city level, not precise GPS coordinates)
Ad Interaction Data:
- Which ads are displayed to you
- Ad clicks, views, and video completions
- Ad display frequency and timing
App Usage Data:
- Session start and end times
- Session duration
- Retention metrics (how often you return to the Game)
- App bundle identifier
- SDK version information
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
We want to be clear about what information we do not collect:
- Real names (unless you voluntarily choose one as your leaderboard display name)
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Physical or mailing addresses
- Precise GPS or fine-grained location data
- Photos, camera access, or media files
- Contacts or address book data
- Health, fitness, or biometric data
- Payment card numbers, bank account information, or other financial details (all payment processing is handled entirely by Apple or Google)

- Calendar data
- Browsing history outside the Game

---
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected for the following purposes:
- To Provide the Game: Enabling core gameplay, saving and restoring your progress, maintaining your game session, and processing your in-app purchases.
- To Enable Leaderboards: Displaying your scores and chosen display name on public leaderboards so you can compete with other players.
- To Serve Advertisements: Displaying banner ads, interstitial ads, and rewarded video ads within the Game, including personalizing ad content based on your interests when you have provided consent or have not opted out, depending on your jurisdiction.
- To Improve the Game: Understanding how players interact with the Game through aggregated usage data, identifying bugs and performance issues, and making improvements to gameplay.
- To Process Purchases: Recording which in-app purchases you have made to ensure you receive the correct items and to prevent duplicate charges.
- To Provide Cloud Save: Storing your game progress in the cloud so you can access it across devices and after reinstallation.
- To Comply with Legal Obligations: Responding to legal requests, enforcing our terms of service, and complying with applicable laws and regulations.
- To Prevent Fraud and Abuse: Detecting and preventing cheating, fraud, or other unauthorized activity.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for purposes unrelated to the Game.
---
4. Advertising
Harvestia's Heralds is a free-to-play game that is supported in part by advertising. The Game displays three types of advertisements:
4.1 Banner Ads
Small advertisements displayed at the edge of the screen during gameplay. Banner ads are shown automatically and do not interrupt your gameplay. These ads refresh periodically.
4.2 Interstitial Ads
Full-screen advertisements displayed between games (such as after a run ends). Interstitial ads are shown with cooldown periods between them to limit how frequently they appear. They include a close button or automatically dismiss after a set duration.
4.3 Rewarded Video Ads
Full-screen video advertisements that you choose to watch voluntarily in exchange for in-game rewards. Rewarded video ads are never forced upon you. You may be offered the option to watch a rewarded video ad to receive daily feather rewards or to continue a run after it ends. You can always decline these offers with no penalty.
4.4 "No Forced Ads" Purchase
The Game offers an in-app purchase called "No Forced Ads" that permanently removes banner ads and interstitial ads from your experience. After purchasing No Forced Ads:
- Banner ads will no longer appear during gameplay.
- Interstitial ads will no longer appear between games.
- Rewarded video ads will still be available as an optional feature. Because rewarded ads are always voluntary and provide in-game benefits, they remain accessible even after the No Forced Ads purchase. You are never required to watch them.
- The No Forced Ads purchase does not stop data collection by the Unity Ads SDK. The SDK may still collect device and usage information as described in Section 2.2, even when ads are not being displayed to you. To manage data collection, see Section 10 (Your Rights and Choices) and Section 17 (Consent Management).
4.5 Personalized vs. Non-Personalized Ads
Depending on your jurisdiction and your consent choices, you may receive personalized or non-personalized advertisements:
- Personalized Ads: These ads are tailored to your interests based on information collected about your device and ad interaction history. Personalized ads are only shown when permitted by applicable law and when you have provided consent where required.
- Non-Personalized Ads: These ads are not tailored to your individual interests. They may be contextual (related to the Game) or generic. Non-personalized ads are shown when you have not consented to personalized advertising, have opted out, or when required by your jurisdiction. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings (see Section 10).
4.6 Ad Content Filtering
To maintain an experience appropriate for our audience, we apply the following ad content filters:
- No advertisements for alcoholic beverages
- No casino advertisements
- No dating service advertisements
- No law, government, or politics advertisements
- No lottery or gambling advertisements
- No religion or spirituality advertisements
- No ads rated for audiences 13 and older are served (age-appropriate filtering is enabled) Despite these filters, we cannot guarantee that every ad will be appropriate for all audiences. Ad content is supplied by third-party advertising networks and is not created or directly controlled by Mythical Descent LLC.
---
5. In-App Purchases
Harvestia's Heralds offers optional in-app purchases. All purchases are processed entirely through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). We do not collect, process, or store any payment information such as credit card numbers, bank account details, or billing addresses.
The categories of in-app purchases available include:
- Cosmetic Skins (non-consumable): Visual customization options for your character that are permanently unlocked after purchase.
- Shield Upgrades (non-consumable): Permanent gameplay enhancements that are unlocked after purchase.
- Feather Currency Packs (consumable): Bundles of in-game currency (golden feathers) that can be spent within the Game.
- Starter Bundle (non-consumable): A one-time bundle of items permanently unlocked after purchase.
- No Forced Ads (non-consumable): Permanently removes banner and interstitial advertisements. See Section 4.4 for details.
- Continue Run (consumable): A one-time-use item that allows you to continue a run after it ends. We record which purchases you have made so we can deliver the correct items, restore your purchases if you reinstall the Game or change devices, and prevent duplicate charges. Purchase records are associated with your anonymous Player ID, not with your real name or personal accounts.
For information about how Apple and Google handle your payment information, please refer to their privacy policies (linked in Section 6).

---
7. Tracking Technologies and Device Identifiers
The Game and the Unity Ads SDK use the following tracking technologies and device identifiers:
7.1 Device Advertising Identifiers
- IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) on iOS: A unique identifier assigned by Apple to your device for advertising purposes. On iOS 14.5 and later, the Game will request your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework before accessing the IDFA. If you decline, the IDFA will not be available to the Unity Ads SDK, and you will receive non-personalized ads.
- IDFV (Identifier for Vendors) on iOS: A unique identifier assigned by Apple that is shared among all apps from the same developer on your device. This identifier does not require ATT consent.
- Google Advertising ID (GAID) on Android: A unique, user-resettable identifier provided by Google Play Services for advertising purposes. You can reset or opt out of this identifier through your Android device settings.
- Android ID on Android: A unique identifier for each combination of app-signing key, user, and device. This identifier is used as a fallback when the GAID is not available.
7.2 How Identifiers Are Used
These identifiers are used by the Unity Ads SDK to:
- Serve advertisements to you
- Measure ad performance and effectiveness
- Limit the frequency of ads shown to you
- Personalize ad content (when you have provided consent or not opted out)
- Detect and prevent ad fraud
- Attribute app installs to advertising campaigns
7.3 Session Tokens
The Game uses session tokens generated by Unity Authentication to maintain your login state and secure your game session. These tokens are temporary and expire after a period of inactivity.
7.4 Local Storage
The Game stores a local copy of your save data on your device using encrypted local storage. This data includes your game progress, settings, and preferences. This data is not shared with third parties.
---
8. Data Storage and Security
8.1 Where Your Data Is Stored
- Local Device Storage: A copy of your game save data is stored locally on your device. This local data is encrypted using XOR encryption to prevent casual unauthorized access.
- Unity Cloud Services: Your game progress, authentication data, leaderboard scores, and related data are stored on Unity's cloud servers. Unity's servers are located in various regions globally. For information about where Unity stores data, please refer to Unity's privacy policy.
- Unity Ads SDK Data: Information collected by the Unity Ads SDK is transmitted to and stored on Unity's advertising servers. This data is processed in accordance with Unity's privacy policy.
8.2 How We Protect Your Data
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:
- All data transmitted between the Game and Unity's servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS (Transport Layer Security).
- Local save data on your device is encrypted.
- We use Unity Authentication's secure session management to protect your account.
- We limit access to your data to those who need it to operate the Game.
8.3 Limitations
No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially reasonable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. We are not responsible for the security practices of third-party services such as Unity, Apple, or Google.
---
9. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
9.1 Third-Party Service Providers
We share information with the third-party services listed in Section 6 (Unity, Apple, Google) as necessary to operate the Game, serve advertisements, process purchases, and provide cloud services. These services process your information in accordance with their own privacy policies.
9.2 Leaderboard Data
If you participate in leaderboards, your display name and scores are visible to other players. Your Player ID, device information, and other data are not visible on leaderboards.
9.3 Advertising Partners
The Unity Ads SDK may share device identifiers and ad interaction data with advertising partners for the purpose of serving and measuring advertisements. This sharing is governed by Unity's privacy policy and the applicable consent you have provided.
9.4 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with a legal obligation, court order, or legal process
- Protect and defend the rights, property, or safety of Mythical Descent LLC, our users, or the public
- Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues
- Enforce our terms of service

9.6 Aggregated or De-Identified Data
We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. For example, we may share statistics about how many players use the Game or general gameplay trends.
---

10.1 Opt Out of Personalized Advertising
You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings:

You can also go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising, and disable "Personalized Ads."
- Android: Go to Settings > Google > Ads, and enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization" (or "Delete advertising ID" on newer Android versions).
Opting out of personalized advertising does not stop ads from being displayed; it means the ads you see will not be tailored to your interests.
10.2 Reset Advertising Identifiers
- iOS: You can reset your IDFA by going to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Android: You can reset your Google Advertising ID by going to Settings > Google > Ads > Reset advertising ID.

10.4 Unity Ads Data Privacy
Unity Ads includes a Data Privacy icon within advertisements. You can tap this icon to access Unity's privacy management tools, where you can learn more about how Unity uses your data and exercise your privacy choices directly with Unity.
10.5 Manage In-App Purchases
You can manage your in-app purchase subscriptions and restore previous purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store settings on your device.
10.6 Delete Local Data

11.3 Consent for EU/EEA/UK Users
The Unity Ads SDK automatically presents a consent dialog to users in the EU, EEA, and UK in compliance with GDPR requirements. This dialog allows you to choose whether to consent to personalized advertising and data collection for advertising purposes. You can change your consent preferences at any time through the Data Privacy icon displayed within Unity advertisements.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at switt@mythicaldescent.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days. If your request is complex or we receive a large number of requests, we may extend this period by an additional 60 days, in which case we will notify you.

In accordance with COPPA mixed audience requirements:
